Jenny has two loves. The first of which is coffee, which brings us to the beginning of our story. Austin suggested the first date as a cooking class, and it was good luck that it wasn't, as there was no coffee and it was chaos. Going back to before the coffee shop meetup, Austin's sister Taylor shared Jenny's profile with Austin and he subsequently reached out on Facebook Messenger. This chatting culminated in a coffee date at a cafe named Verbena in the Memorial area of Houston. The coffee gave Jenny time to yap in her natural element while Austin listened intently in Verbena, the coffee shop that was halfway between Austin and Jenny's homes. Funnily enough, Austin messaged Jenny later that day and gave her the wrong phone number. She responded back a few days later when the message didn't go through - 'Thank God it wasn't green bubbles', she thought. The connection formed at the coffee shop was lasting and grew over a long time with many more iced coffees and lattes in between. Austin in time became Jenny's second love (an allegation that Austin disputes that he is her first love)
On one cloudy Texas day, Austin planned an excursion to Galveston that Jenny would have loved even without the deeper implications. It was January 22nd, 2026, and Jenny and Austin had been dating for 886 days at the time. Austin had planned on setting up a special proposal on the roof of the Tremont hotel in Galveston right around sunset. Little did Austin know, Austin had asked Jenny earlier in the week to get her nails done (as a birthday gift) which set off Jenny's intuition. Austin brought Jenny up to the balcony a bit later than anticipated due to a mishap about a missing "M" letter in "MARRY ME". Luckily, although not oddly nervous about asking, Austin proposed to Jenny with a rose gold ring and Jenny said "YES".
