Hannah Sutherland

Matron of Honor

Never let a mister get in the way of me & my sister! Teacher by profession & birth order, I learn so much by watching Hannah take on life with confidence & spirit. Queen reader, little-kid-lover & arguably the most devoted Hillary Duff fan-girl you’ll ever meet.

Kenta Ishii

Best Man

We met in 7th grade core class with Ms. Jennings. As I recall we were desk buddies. Little did I know the impact that seating arrangement would have on my life. Kenta ended up becoming a teammate of mine on the water polo and swim teams. He was also a coworker at the Seal Beach Lifeguard Department. We've shared many good times and countless intentional dinners and discussions. Kenta is a thinker and cares for people deeply. I couldn't be prouder to name Kenta as my best man.

Jessica Hong

Maid of Honor

We laugh, we cry, we will shirk all responsibilities for sunrises and pie. We are experts at empathizing with each other’s frequent and only slightly dramatic existential crises. Since meeting in college, Jess has believed in me, fought for me & cared for me so well that she’s over-qualified for this maid of honor business. Also, she is the only person I know who will do puzzles by head-lamp just so she can continue after everyone else has gone to sleep. Talk about passion.

Doug Issichopoulos

Groomsman

Before I met Doug, I prayed that God would put people like him into my life. I prayed that the Lord would build up a community around me and that I would find it during my freshman year of college. Boy, did God have bigger plans. God answered this prayer before classes even began. A teammate invited me to attend an event called Cross Training. I met Doug that night, as well as a handful of other influential people. It was truly providential. Doug and I spent five years in a small group together. On one memorable night, we snuck into Frost Amphitheater and camped there. Doug is one of the most genuine people I know. He cares deeply for people, and it's even a little contagious. I am blessed to call him my groomsman.

Jenna Mohn

Bridesmaid

If friends since babies and post-college roommates doesn’t speak for itself, then I don’t know what does. Jenna is my wise counselor and chosen partner for spontaneous ocean-dips, kitchen dance parties & Reliant K sing-a-longs. She knows me better than any friend (even the braces & John Lennon haircut years) and accepts me whole-heartedly, no matter the season. Also, she is the coolest, most unique human currently alive on this planet.

Ethan Muhonen

Groomsman

AKA the Mahon-dog. Ethan and I met during spring quarter of freshman year of college. Shortly after that, he joined our small group. He and I have always remained close friends ever since. Despite being on opposite sides of the world on separate occasions, we still managed to stay in touch and maintain intentional conversation. By chance (or providence), his residency program ended up a few towns over from me. It's been such a joy to spend time together. A purveyor of stoak, smokey tea, and crag, Ethan 110% meets groomsman criteria.

Grace Eubank

Bridesmaid

Grace’s hugs feel like home and sunshine radiates from her mouth when she smiles. She is my adventure inspiration and journeys through life with a beautiful curiosity, kindness and generosity. Because Grace makes friends with basically everyone she meets everywhere she goes (and she goes lots of places,) it’s an honor to get to do life closely with her year after year and an honor to have her next to me on my wedding day!

Ryan Summers

Groomsman

Ryan and I met in the summer going into my 7th grade on our club water polo team. We would go on to be roommates at countless tournaments, two memorable international trips to Italy and Japan, classmates, in a small group together for four years of high school, confidants, catan opponents, RUF retreat campers, and I even had the opportunity to stand beside him at his wedding. Ryan is loyal and caring and has played a meaningful role in my life.

Rachel Devine

Bridesmaid

Rachel makes me stronger, her friendship is empowering & she reminds me to let loose when the man’s got me down. What more could you ask for in a friend, really? Rachel’s commitment to what she believes in, resiliency in challenge, and bravery to step outside of her comfort zone in pursuit of growth and perspective inspires me. There is no one I’d rather learn about the world with, go on Sunday surf trips, or sing Beyonce at the top of my lungs.

Shane Trinkle

Groomsman

Shane has certainly known me longer than anyone else on this list. We have experienced a lot of life together, from wrestling with his dog brother Cody, to watching him play his first water polo game, to attending his 5th grade promotion and high school graduation. He is my brother and nothing can ever change that. It would only be appropriate for him to stand beside me on one of the most important days of my life.

Lindsey Wagner

Bridesmaid

The reason we are here today! Who knew that when Lindsey & I developed “friend crushes” on each other during college PE class we had actually just chosen our future sister-in-law? Even before Austin came into the mix, Lindsey has been like a sister to me.. and now all the sweet memories we share of college sleep-overs, road-trips up the PCH, and countless cookie-baking nights are just the beginning of many more family memories to come!

Jackson Jaramillo

Groomsman

Emma's brother. I knew he special before I met him. I had heard from my sister and from Emma that he was not your average girlfriend's younger brother. Having had the chance to get to know him better over the past five years, I can say with confidence that what I was told couldn't be more true. His maturity, confidence and talents impress me immensely. To say I am excited to call him my brother would not be nearly adequate enough.

For all the days along the way
