While you're in Tennessee, there is a lot to see in Nashville, starting with the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Parthenon in Centennial Park (seriously impressive), or the music scene downtown on Broadway. For a bit of history, consider the more laid back community of Franklin, Tennessee. Beautiful countryside, it's located centrally between the airport and Lewisburg. There are many historical sites and check out downtown Franklin, Tennessee, with lots of shopping and restaurants all around their historic downtown square.
