For Thanksgiving, Emma & Austin planned a trip back to South Africa where Emma grew up. Since it was Austin's first time in South Africa, and the couple's anniversary, Emma wanted to find a way to properly capture this vacation. So she reached out to a photographer friend in Cape Town and planned a couple's photoshoot. Emma picked out the location of Lion's Head mountain which has the perfect view of Table Mountain and overlooks the city of Cape Town. She decided that Sunrise would also be the ideal time because it wouldn't conflict with their sightseeing itinerary and golden hour offers the best lighting. So the couple woke up at 4am and hiked up Lion's Head for their photoshoot. During the session, Emma asked Austin for the 500th time if he was ever going to propose. And right there and then, Austin dropped down on one knee, pulled out the ring ( which he had kept in his back pocket, without the box, while they hiked up a mountain) and popped the question! Emma doesn't remember anything Austin said, and Austin couldn't remember if Emma actually said yes but everything was perfect and the photographer was able to capture every moment of it.
