We're getting Married

Austin and Chloe first met at the University of Arizona in 2016. They were both attending a tailgate for the University of Arizona's football team. Although Austin had offered his chair to Chloe they had gone the rest of the game without speaking. Austin and Chloe were both new students at the University of Arizona, and like most they did not know anyone. They found themselves in the same friend group, which developed into getting frozen yogurt and studying for tests together, and often sneaking Chloe's dog Fiona into the dorm. One evening Chloe had brought Fiona to campus to meet up with her friend who canceled last minute, leaving Chloe on campus with nothing to do. Knowing Austin was a massive dog lover, it was natural to invite Austin to come meet up with them. They sat and talked for hours. They learned about each other's dreams and goals, talked about their fears and accomplishments, and shared their values and what was most important to them in life. They learned how similar they were to one another and knew they had a connection. They left that evening with a lot more questions about each other than they came with. They both spent their summer wondering what life would be like with each other. Picking up where they left off when school resumed, they continued spending time together and by the end of the year they decided that they wanted to pursue a relationship with each other. Austin and Chloe both got into professional colleges at the University of Arizona. While Austin was busy studying to get his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration specializing in Business Management, Chloe was spending long hours getting her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. When they weren't cramming for an exam Austin and Chloe enjoyed taking Fiona to the dog park, exploring Tucson, and binging the latest show whiling eating Taco Bell. Life was good. With graduation quickly approaching, decisions about the future and what was next in their lives were too. Chloe had sworn off California long before she met Austin, so Austin's plans to return there after college to start working for the family business really meant Chloe had a big decision ahead of her. Austin left Tuson and headed back to California without any worry in his heart. He knew she would follow, and he was right. In a matter of only a couple of days Chloe had packed up her college apartment and made the decision to move to a small agricultural town in California know as Somis. They both moved back into Austin's highschool room...just down the hall from his parents. Robin and Paul were kind enough to not only take in one but two college graduates who had not a single dollar to their name. Austin and Chloe spent their weekends getting breakfast in the mornings, working on home projects, and planning for their future. After a few short weeks, Chloe flew back to Arizona to take her board exam to become a nurse. Passing with flying colors, there was reason to celebrate as Chloe entered the professional field as a nightshift nurse, all the while Austin continued working his way up in the family's dealerships. During Austin's down time he spent his time looking for houses in the area. He was looking for houses that he could raise a family in. In early September of 2021, the perfect house popped up on the market - a cute 3 bed, 2 bath with a big backyard overlooking the valley. Everything they needed, they loved it. Submitting an offer the next day, an almost immediate acceptance, and a short 14 day escrow later, the next chapter of their lives began. Austin and Chloe spent all their spare time fixing the place up. A place that they could call their own. Chloe convinced Austin to get another dog only 12 days after living in their new house and he fell for it. So then lived the 4 of them…but there was still no ring...

A new house, challenging jobs, two dogs, and endless home improvement projects kept Chloe and Austin busy, and Chloe distracted from the absence of a ring on her finger. That wasn't going to last long and Austin knew it, so he developed a plan. He was going to find the perfect ring, take Chloe on a surprise vacation, and propose. No pressure. Step one - find the ring Chloe had always been very up front about styles she liked, must haves, and things to stay away from, so Austin went down the ring rabbit hole. Although he knew what she wanted, it took months to find the perfect ring, but come January of 2023 he had it, and now he had to HIDE IT! With the ring just feet away from where they slept, Austin continued on like normal as not to give any hints that there was a plan. Step two - plan a surprise trip Austin spent days trying to find the perfect destination where he could ask Chloe to spend the rest of her life with him. It was no easy task, but finally he decided that Hawaii would be the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and romance. He worked with Hawaii locals remotely to find the best private locations, hire a photographer and a florist, and get all of the logistics in order. With limited knowledge of the island, it was no easy task to organize, but Austin had faith that it would all work out. Over the course of the next several months Austin began to drop subtle hints to Chloe about the surprise vacation. As her curiosity grew, Austin decided to take on a 50% true, 50% fake hint program to keep Chloe guessing. His goal was to lead her to believe they were going on a week long camping trip. He knew she wouldn't believe it for a second, but it was worth a try. As the hints came in, and the departure date approached, Chloe enlisted help from her co-workers to help her sort through what was real, and what was fake. They even began placing bets on where it might be. The morning of their departure was filled with excitement and some anxiety for what was to come. As they arrived at the International terminal, Austin could see some confusion in Chloe's eyes, but could soon tell she knew where their flight was taking them. As they approached the Hawaiian Airlines wing of the terminal, the jig was up. Austin and Chloe were flying to O'ahu! Step three - the proposal Arriving in Hawaii is as beautiful as one could imagine. Their shared excitement was overwhelming, and even the three hour wait for the rental car couldn't bring them down. After checking in to their beachfront resort, and enjoying a romantic sunset on the beach, Austin reminded Chloe that there was a deadline the following morning, and they had to be dressed to impress, and ready to go at 11:00. 11:00 came and went. Chloe was noticeably stressed (she had a feeling something big was about to go down). Austin worked hard to keep the energy light, and not show his own nerves as he prayed that the location, flowers, and photographer were ready to go. As they drove through the forest to the mystery location, Austin received a message from the photographer with a change of plans. The private beach location began to swarm with a bus load of tourists. As the photographer scrambled to Plan B, Austin began to worry how he would go unnoticed getting the ring from his backpack into his pocket. As they arrived at the new location, and Chloe stepped out of the car, a few wild chickens walked out of the trees. Chloe, focused on this strange sight, didn't even notice Austin digging through his backpack. They began to walk down the path through the trees toward the ocean, when Chloe noticed a mysterious arrangement of flowers between the trees overlooking the water. Their emotions were bubbling as they stood between the flowers and Austin talked to Chloe, his future wife, about the love they share, and the lives they will live together. Finally, Austin got down on one knee and asked Chloe to marry him. "YES!"
