When you know, you know! We met in March of 2024, and it didn’t take long for us to realize we had found something special. Even though we knew early on, we decided to wait a slightly more “appropriate” amount of time before making it official. On New Year’s Eve in Colorado, surrounded by fireworks and with “TNT” playing in the background, he finally popped the question, followed by a yes! So, we figured we’d waste no time and get right to the good part. After all, why wait when you know you’ve found your person? He thought he was doing a great job keeping the proposal a secret, but let’s be honest, he’s a terrible liar. He was extra nervous, a little suspicious, and way too excited for me not to notice. Even though I had a pretty good idea what was coming, the moment he got down on one knee under the fireworks was still completely magical. While being together, meeting each other’s friends and families has only confirmed what we felt from the start. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter and to bring our families together as one. As much as we wish we could celebrate with everyone we love, we have chosen to keep our wedding small and intimate. As teachers planning a wedding on a budget, we had to make some tough decisions, and we truly appreciate the understanding and support we’ve received. Please know that you mean so much to us, and we are grateful to have you cheering us on as we begin this new chapter.
