Is there a dress code?
Answer
Welcome Party: I|O Hotel Rooftop enforces a Smart Casual dress code beginning at sundown. Please no athletic wear, beach clothing, hoodies, hats, or flip-flops. Please reach out to Austin or Shari with any questions regarding these policies! Wedding/Reception: Cocktail Attire. Please wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, dark jackets and slacks, or similar attire.

Can I bring a date?

Dates are welcome! Please RSVP for any guests you will be bringing so we can keep an accurate guest count. Reach out to Shari and Austin for additional information or requests to bring additional guests.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
Austin and Shari would love to be able to celebrate with everybody's little ones. Unfortunately, due to space and age requirements at each venue, we request that alternative arrangements be made for children. If you have a newborn or infant that can comfortably sit on your lap we can make exceptions for the Wedding/Reception. Please let us know in advance. The Welcome Party will be in a 21+ only space and we will not be able to accommodate children of any age.

I have a food allergy/restriction, can I make a special request?

Please let Austin and Shari know about any food allergies or restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian) so that we can have a meal available that fits your needs!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
There is no dedicated parking for this event. The venue does have available (paid) street parking as well as several nearby parking garages. However, we recommend using ride shares or public transportation to get to and from the venue. Austin and Shari can answer any questions you have about navigating the city!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
Chicago is a vibrant city with a multitude of events around the city, especially during the Summer and early Fall season. While we expect there to be concerts, festivals, and other large gatherings, we do not anticipate these impacting our Welcome Party or Wedding. If anything should arise that may impact our guests, we will communicate that to the best of our ability.
Question
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The Welcome Party will be outdoors, but has an alternative indoor space in the event of bad weather. The Wedding/Reception will be primarily indoors, but we will have access to a large, outdoor deck space during cocktail hour and the reception.
