We’re getting Married

Austin and I are very excited and happy to have all of you to celebrate our special day! Our story began with a very special friendship that grew. That friendship came with adventure, traveling, exploring, a bunch of problem solving, and new opportunities in each of our separate lives, and that always brought fun and joy into both of our lives in very many ways. Then came love, and it began our life as a whole. What we had with a friendship only enhanced our life and love we share now. The day Austin asked me to finally be his girlfriend, you could tell it was the day on how he showed up and immediately started loosing his words. I was working and got his text of I need to talk to you as soon as you get a chance, I'm outside waiting for you when you can get a break. Now my work schedule is a bit different from normal, I work 48 consecutive hours instead of a whole week, so I knew what he had to say must have been important. I walked outside and found him waiting with the reddest, most kind of uncomfortable grin I have ever seen on this mans face. He started the conversation very casually which finally led into him saying, I can't wait any longer and miss out on this opportunity for you to be mine. That brought so much joy to me. I tried to stay cool. Unfortunately I had to run and get back to work so it helped me act like there wasn't a million butterflies and joy coming from me, but it was the best, and most exciting feeling I have ever had. Life went on as we were a new couple and the world was in the palm of our hands. We challenged each other every day and only continued to better ourselves as one. The fun never stopped and our adventures with each other and family only grew. When they say Love is just a word, I have learned its a word of what you make of it. Everyday Austin gives me a new meaning to the word and only continues to make it better. He may lack on folding clothes, but he never falls short on love. Time flew by, I guess the saying time flies when you're having fun is real. We had briefly talked on marriage and him proposing and how we felt on it but never got into big details. I saw a ring one day that I loved and showed him, and the response I got was, that would not look good on your finger with that shape. My only thought to myself was ok then how do you know what looks good and doesn't. That was the last time I ever shared what I liked. Christmas of 2021 We spent at my parents house. We had all opened our gifts and were about to sit down to the re-runs of Christmas story and eat my moms delicious breakfast she makes every year. and Austin piped up and said he had one more gift. I thought it was funny that my dad stood the whole time and would not sit down.. Austin got down on one knee and popped the question as he choked back tears and tried to control his shaking hands with the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. I had no words with the joy and excitement rolling through me, my first response was to clench onto this beautiful purse my mom had gotten for Christmas as tears started rolling down my face. That was the best day in the world. I couldn't believe it. Soon after the question had been asked, my brother asked, so, who knew about this one and my dad raised his hand with the biggest, sweetest smile. My mom, as she was crying, trying to record and take pictures at the same time, asked why dad didn't tell her that this was happening. My dad quickly responded with, The surprise would have been given away, you would have cried and reacted the way you are now, very true. This all brings us to where we are now, wedding planning, picture taking, cake tasting, and still a ton of fun and love. We are fortunate to have an amazing family who has made this special day possible. Thank you Mom and Dad. We can't express how thankful we are for this special day and to celebrate with our closest friends and family. We can't wait to see what's ahead for us. ❤️ Love Sam & Austin
