Maid of Honor
Bre is my best friend, hype woman, and sister. She is a nurse at Erlanger in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She enjoys camping, hiking, reading, supporting local businesses, vinyl, and thrift shopping. My favorite thing about Bre is her tenacity and how quick she is to stand up for others. She’s modeled vulnerability, kindness, confidence, and determination for me as long as I can remember and I couldn’t possibly marry the man of my dreams without her there.
Bridesmaid
If you’ve been around me long enough chances are you’ve probably heard me talk about my cousin, Hannah. My entire childhood was filled with our adventures, imaginations, and shenanigans. She's honestly more of a sister than a cousin. Hannah loves exploring and is always ready for adventure, whether that’s IKEA, a state park, or the attic of an antique store. She will always let me drag her with me when I want to try out something new, so I knew I couldn't be taking on this adventure of a lifetime without her.
Bridesmaid
I met Shelley my sophomore year of college but we didn’t become good friends until she joined the Residence Life team in 2017! Shelley loves the Lord, summer time, the ocean, queso, laughing, and sour candy. My favorite thing about Shelley is her continual joy. She has always pointed out the silver lining in any situation. Shelley is one of the most intentional people I’ve ever met and I’m so thankful to call her friend!
Bridesmaid
Emily and I met when she joined the Residence Life team in 2016. We did not hit it off right away and it took us an entire year of being around one another before we became friends, but then once that happened there was no stopping us. I went to her home in Arizona for spring break, we moved in together in 2018, and I was in her wedding in 2019. Emily loves reality television, Amazon, serving others, essential oils, FaceTime, and her sweet niece & nephew. I’m so excited to have her stand up next to me on the big day!
Bridesmaid
Hannah graduated from Union with me and is a nurse in Jackson, TN. Hannah was my roommate for the first three years at Union and we bonded over our shared love of movies and quoted them constantly to one another. One of my favorite things about Hannah is her selfless joy for others. She’s always ready to celebrate what is going on in your life. Hannah loves her dog, her husband, and her friends. Can’t wait to celebrate with Hannah by having her by my side on the big day!
Bridesmaid
Emily was one of my first friends at Union & if you ask her about the first time we met she’ll say I let her borrow a hair tie. Which I still think she has. Emily and I joined our sorority, Chi Omega, at the same time and became inseparable. She then moved in with me and my roommates for the next two years. Emily loves fried rice, long drives, and good movies. My favorite thing about Emily is that she’s always ready to laugh.
Bridesmaid
Trish is a Union grad and nurse in Jackson, TN! Trish and I became close my senior year of college while we were involved in Residence Life together. She is an incredibly caring friend who acts selflessly and generously. My favorite thing about Trish is her wisdom and how freely she gives it. I love laughing with her and once you get us together, we’ll talk for hours about anything and everything. I’m so thankful she’ll be with me on the big day!
Bridesmaid
Laura and I met a little over a year ago, but if you've ever been around us you would think we've known each other our entire lives. She is one of the most friendly, bubbly and Godly women and I am so lucky to call her friend! Laura's love languages include goldfish, gift giving, and quality time. She lives in Kansas City with her husband, Kyle, while he attends Midwestern Baptist Theological seminary!
Bridesmaid
Addie and I met in 2016 during a college PE course. We would walk around the campus (while we were supposed to be running) and talk about life. She became one of my closest friends when we travelled to the UK together during the summer of 2018 and roomed together! I admire how Addie can reach out to a complete stranger and become their friend in 5 minutes flat. She is someone who is completely comfortable in her own skin, making you feel so much better in yours. Addie is joyful, contemplative, loving, a challenger, and such a mission hearted individual. She will not be able to attend the wedding because she will be serving a girls home in Ecuador.
Best Man
People who know him know two things: He loves Jesus and Auburn football, and he isn't afraid to talk about either. Noah has been my best friend since my senior year of high school when we met at church youth group. We instantly connected over Christian rap, theological discussions, and our desire to pursue ministry with our lives. Throughout the years, Noah's friendship has been a constant in my life. I know that whenever I need or want to, I can call him up, and we will talk for at least a hour about life, what God is teaching us, and how we are being challenged. He truly is a good gift from God to me. I am honored that he will be my side.
Best Man
Ben and I met in college as fraternity brothers, but our relationship really began to take off when we became roommates in our senior year of college. Ben is a hilarious, super talented, loving friend who would do anything for his people. One of the things I appreciate most about him is how willing he is to have hard conversations that go deeper than the surface. He wants to know how you are doing, what God is doing in your life, and how you are growing in holiness. He has become one of my closest friends over the past couple of years and I honored to have him as one of my best men.
Groomsman
Capps, as all of his friends lovingly call him, has been a close friend of mine since we met each other at a Bible study in high school. We have lived together, traveled out of the country, and spent weeks out in the middle of nowhere camping on an island. One of the things I admire about Capps is his honesty and bluntness. He isn't afraid to speak up, share his opinion, and respectfully debate with others who may think differently. Glad that he is going to be standing by my side.
Groomsman
Hayden and I became friends shortly after I started at Union University. He was a leader in the fraternity I joined, and we quickly hit it off. Hayden loves people well and wasted no time bringing me into his already established, close group of friends. He made me feel as if I had been one of the boys for a long time. I am blessed to know him and call him a friend and brother.
Groomsman
Marcus has been a part of my Hendersonville crew since I joined their group of friends during my senior year of high school. He is an encourager. Someone who doesn't allow you to leave his presence without knowing that he cares about you and you are valuable. That is an incredible trait. I'm stoked to have him as one of my groomsmen.
Groomsman
Caleb is a pop-culture guru, constantly referencing movies, TV shows, and actors I have never heard of, but most of the time I just pretend like I know what the heck he is talking about. Caleb cares about his friends and is quick to encourage and defend those he is close with. He was a shoo-in for the groomsmen party.
Groomsman
Tucker is a man of few words, but boy does he have a stellar taste in music. We used to just take drives on backroads some nights not saying a word to each other, just enjoying the company and the tunes. Tucker was always wanting the be the driver, and of course, always had the AUX, but that was always a great thing! I've always appreciated that about him. Tucker is a servant, whether it is offering to drive or helping with something more intense, you can count on him to be there. Here's to hoping that he brings the jams to the wedding party!
Groomsman
Britton is one of those guys that you just feel lucky to know. His intentionality with those he cares about is unreal and inspires me to be a better friend to people. Britton loves well, cares about others, and is a natural leader. He also has an unhealthy obsession with quinoa, but that is neither here nor there. I am glad that he is going to be by my side on my wedding day.
Groomsman
Daniel and I met a few summers ago while interning at FBCH, and we immediately hit it off. What I appreciated most about him was his intentionality with getting to know others, his love for ministry, and his ability to joke around and have fun. Since that summer we have kept in touch and as I was thinking about guys who mean a lot to me and I want to stand by my side on my wedding day, I couldn't help but choose Daniel.
Groomsman
Camry and I became good friends as we were camping with a group of friends on an island in the middle of a lake. It is amazing what a week of no showering, eating MRE's and cliff jumping can do to bring guys together. Some of my favorite memories with Camry include singing as loud as we can in his car, hitting obnoxious harmonies, and just being absolutely ridiculous. His love for Jesus is obvious, and he has inspired me in my faith many times. He obviously had to be one the my boys.
Groomsman
Gunnar, or Young Gun as we like to call him, had a rough start at first. He was not fond of me as the "new guy" infiltrating the group of friends that we shared in college. However, we eventually grew on each other and became buds, and were even roommates at one point. Now he is one of my favorite guys to just chill with! Gunner is a unique guy, extremely lovable, and loyal. Once you are his friend, you are friends for life.
Groomsman
Forrest was my Gamma, and if you don't know what that means then you're not ready. But in all seriousness, Forrest was one of the guys in the group that I became close with when starting at Union University. He is a quiet guy but is always willing to go out of his way to help out and make you feel welcome and comfortable. Just don't wake him up when he is sleeping. You'll regret it.
Officiant
Daniel was Austin's college pastor and has been a huge influence on his life. He immediately came to mind when we began discussing who would be marrying us before God and the world on our wedding day. We are so excited that he is going to be doing just that on January 9th!
