Is there a dress code?

Answer

Garden Formal Attire in Charleston Women: A midi dress in a floral print, a tea-length dress, or a sundress in a pastel color or floral pattern. You can also wear a jumpsuit. Everything will be outside, gravel, grass, concrete so make sure you comfortable/appropriate shoes. Hats and sunglasses are welcomed! Men: Suit or blazer, pair it with a crisp white dress shirt, and a tie or bow tie is optional. For shoes, consider loafers or dress shoes that are comfortable enough for standing on grass.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Friday at 5:00pm in Charleston there will be traffic! Please allow enough time from all locations. We ask that you be there by 4:30pm to have time to park beforehand.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

There is free parking on-site at The Island House

Where will the Ceremony, Cocktail Hour and Reception take place?

Answer

If all goes according to plan, everything will be take place outside at the Island House. Yes, we know it's summer in Charleston and we will do our best to make sure its comfortable for all. The ceremony will either be in the grass or gravel under shade. The reception will take place under a large white tent.
