We started dating in 2015, so of course we met on a dating app (thanks Bumble)! Meara was in Orlando for work and killing some time swiping around on the lovely gentleman Central Florida had to offer when a picture of a muscle flexing Austin from 2012 popped up. Obviously a swipe right followed. Austin did his best to get Meara to go on a date while she was in town, but somehow his smooth line "Are you my appendix? Because I don't know how you work but this feeling in my stomach makes me want to take you out" failed. They continued texting over the next several days getting to know each other when Austin said he would be in Atlanta for work the next weekend. They planned to meet up at Ormsby's (to which Meara would show up 30 minutes late because she couldn't find the right shoes - typical) and after several games of shuffleboard and darts it was pretty much game over for all of the other guys/girls out in dating app land. Unfortunately for Austin, he now had to admit that he had lied...he didn't have any work meeting in Atlanta, but just wanted to come to meet Meara. Fast forward five months later - Meara and her side-kick Kash Money packed up their bags and moved to Orlando to be with Austin and Lana Bean. Now after 3 years together, Austin and Meara are getting hitched and it was all thanks to his little white lie :)
