Wedding Party

Jen

Maid of Honor

Jen and Maureen have known each other since Maureen was in grad school, but when the Messiah crowd (thanks, Cait!) adopted both of them, there was no denying the friendship was bound to blossom. The adventures between Maureen and Jen include (but are not limited to) day trips to Belmar in Jen's minivan, sharing the great relief of not having to go on a run in sub-zero temps, so many Monday night calls during the pandemic, Jen informing Maureen she needs to go home and decompress before Maureen even knows she needs that, and something about whale sounds.

Jarrett

Best Man

Austin's brother and his keeper. They say older brothers should be looked up to and respected by their younger siblings; however, it’s impossible to say how much Austin looks up to Jarrett. With every bit the intelligence and 10x the work ethic of Austin, Jarrett embodies all the greatest traits of the greatest male influences in each of their lives from their Uncle Curt and cousin Kyle to their father. Jarrett has been Austin's biggest rival and competition in life and also his greatest point of pride in how to succeed in a difficult world.

Caitlin

Bridesmaid

Cait and Maureen met in the IPCR program in 2011 and on a bus somewhere in Northern Ireland, Maureen decided Cait was stuck with her forever. They survived their thesis together, and navigated relationships, moves, jobs and all that hoopla about Joseph Kony with the help of Panera Bread and White Wine Wednesdays. Maureen had the joy of standing next to Cait back in 2015, and she is so glad to have Cait next to her in 2026.

Josh

Groomsman

Josh and Austin's friendship started on a basketball court in Cherokee ranch as a teenager and has turned into family. As one of a core group of friends, their shared experiences of pain, joy and life have bonded them for life as brothers. Josh is also probably one of the most mellow and even-tempered people you will ever meet and is a great voice of reason in Austin's life.

Amy

Bridesmaid

Amy and Maureen met as awkward teenagers at the bottom of some wooden steps. (True story.) They went to high school together where they bothered Fr. Chris, ran around back yards with a broken foot (that was Maureen) and laughed...a lot. They navigated their 20s together, having fake weddings in Michael's, sending memes and Taylor Swift lyrics to each other and wreaking havoc at Applebee's. And now they are living their best lives in their 30s, even though they live across the state from each other. Maureen stood next to Amy on her wedding day, and she is thrilled to have Amy next to her on her big day.

Yamil (Kiko)

Groomsman

After meeting during the pandemic through a Facebook group, Austin and Yamil's joint passion for all things sports became a very close friendship - smack talk first, then fantasy football and baseball leagues, then quickly it was coming to housewarming parties and helping each other move. Kiko is a truly good man and someone Austin always appreciates having in his corner.

Caitlyn

Bridesmaid

The *other* Cait, but this one shares Maureen's last name (for now). Maureen has known Cait her whole life, which makes sense because she is Maureen's niece and the first person to make Maureen an aunt. They have deep conversations about Taylor Swift, are tied together thanks to the Holy Spirit and the sacrament of confirmation, and love a good musical. Having Caitlyn stand next to Maureen on her wedding day feels like a full circle moment since Cait will be the same age in 2026 as Maureen was when Caitlyn was born (19).

Taylor (Buff)

Groomsman

Austin and Buff met working together at Manderbach Ford and they bonded over Xbox and the golden age of Warzone during the pandemic. After the pandemic, Buff became a part of a new core group of friends that found time every week to spend a few hours playing games, talking life and growing old. In the last two years, Buff has become one of Austin's very best friends and confidants.

Cara

Bridesmaid

Cara and Maureen have only known each other for 15 years, but that is because Cara is Maureen's niece and was born when Maureen was in college. Despite the short time Cara has been on this earth, she has made Maureen laugh, cry (the good kind of cry!) and sometimes cry from laughing so hard. There have been selfies, tango-ing (special Tango request for October 24!), plane rides to Disney and so much more! Being Cara's aunt is one of the greatest joys of Maureen's life, and she is so excited to have Cara standing next to her as she gets married.

Bill

Groomsman

Austin's dad, idol, and the one person that can bring out every range of emotion Austin is capable of experiencing in a 24-hour period. From life lessons to golf lessons and everything in between and beyond, Bill is the most influential human being in Austin's life. As a child, Austin hated the comparison of being told “you are your father.” Now as an adult, starting his own life with a wife of his own, the only hope he can have is to be at least half the man his father is.

Charles (Hair)

Groomsman

Austin and Charles have been friends for 30 years, so they are basically brothers. From growing up together to living together to watching each other grow into their own lives separate, but alongside each other, there’s not a single person in Austin's life that knows him better, has been there longer, and can tolerate Austin's stubbornness as easily.

Marley (Triple M!)

Officiant

MMM has been a staple in Maureen's life since she looked across Alvernia’s quad and decided they should be friends. Marley has been around for so much: Austin saying "I love you" to Maureen for the first time, a really chill discussion about Israel and Palestine, and everything in between. Maureen and Austin are lucky to have Marley officiating their marriage and cannot wait to see how many inside jokes Marley can include in the ceremony.
