They met in the eighth grade at the movies. Austin thought Madeline was obnoxious and annoying and Madeline thought Austin was moody. Eventually a friendship blossomed when they started high school, and after realizing their true feelings for each other they started dating. Austin gave Madeline a journal of all the reasons why he loved her for their one year anniversary. They were high school sweethearts but broke up at the start of college. They never truly got over each other, Austin says he thought that Madeline would always be the one that got away. As fate would have it, they both graduated college and reconnected. Austin DM'd Madeline on Instagram after four years and they made plans to get coffee and catch up. Madeline says that when she saw Austin for the first time after all those years she knew this was it. After coffee, Austin asked Madeline out on a real date. The chemistry was instant, and when they kissed it was like being 16 all over again. Madeline pulled out the old journal and started writing letters to Austin.
