Austin and Lindsey’s journey began in the fall of 2019 at The Ohio State University. What started as casual study sessions at Thompson Library, lunch breaks at The Ohio Union, and attending one another's Chi Omega and Theta Chi events, their relationship quickly blossomed into an unbreakable connection. By the time Spring 2021 rolled around, both had proudly graduated from The Ohio State University, a chapter in their lives that had formed not just academic success, but a love that would continue to grow.  Fast forward to January 26, 2024—a day that would forever mark the greatest victory this couple will share in Ohio Stadium - “The Shoe.” This unforgettable moment was orchestrated by Austin with significant assistance from their family and friends. This circle of friends had playfully encouraged them to take a private tour of Ohio Stadium. Austin, as always, was all in, his enthusiasm for anything Buckeye-related remained unwavering. Lindsey, in true fashion, was initially skeptical and needed extensive details about this tour, "It’s freezing, and we’ve been to the stadium a hundred times," she proclaimed. However, Austin’s persistence won out, and soon enough, they found themselves standing at the gates of Ohio Stadium on January 26th, 2024, gazing up at the stunning North Rotunda. Lindsey, ever the stickler for details, ensured the tickets were ready on her phone as they began the tour, unknowing that these tickets were just another addition to Austin’s well-constructed plan and truly had no significance. The usher greeted them warmly and began guiding them through the stadium. As they walked down the famed TBDBITL ramp toward the field, the history of the Buckeyes and the stadium came alive for these two alumni. When they reached the 50-yard line and stood upon the scarlet block “O,” Austin turned to Lindsey, his excitement uncontainable. Without warning, he dropped to one knee and, with a heart full of love, asked her to marry him. Stunned, but overjoyed, Lindsey said yes! The moment was magical, but it wasn’t just the two of them—family and close friends, who had been in on the secret and planning, erupted in cheers from behind the stands, shouting “OH!” in unison. A wonderful moment as many people had traveled far in secrecy to complete this sentimental surprise, even the ever-faithful mascot, Brutus joined the celebration! We are so excited for this next chapter as husband and wife! We are filled with joy as we extend heartfelt invitations to our closest friends and beloved family members to join in our wedding celebrations!
