It took four years after an innocuous Myspace friend request – spurred by an insistent, matchmaking sister – before we met on the final day of 2010. After crossing paths online through mutual friends, we found ourselves heading to the same New Year’s Eve party without any prior knowledge. We were both flustered, excited; anxious to meet the cute person we connected with over music. We spoke as many words to each other at that New Year’s Eve Party as we did on Myspace all those years ago – zero. Chalk it up to social awkwardness or misread social cues, but we ultimately parted ways that night let down. However, due to what must have been some better judgement, we stayed in touch and had our first date only one week later and we have not separated since. Eleven years later, as we’re preparing to walk down the aisle, we are both so incredibly fortunate to have a partnership that has stood the test of the last decade. We are so excited to celebrate with all of you as we are set to begin the next one!
Dear family and friends, We hope you and yours are healthy and safe during this time, and we appreciate all the love and support we’ve received from each of you. Although the COVID-19 pandemic has created much uncertainty, even leading to our original postponement, currently we will be proceeding with our wedding on February 5th, 2022. However, in our best effort to keep everyone as safe as possible, we will continue to follow Illinois state guidelines in relation to mask mandates (if they are still in place) and will ask that anyone who plans to attend also be vaccinated. If you are no longer able or feel uncomfortable attending, we completely understand. Please let us know as soon as possible—no later than January 1st —so we can update our relevant vendors. We will keep you informed if anything should change. Please continue to check out our website for updates and keep an eye out for invitations with additional details being mailed this fall. Please also feel free to reach out to us directly with any questions or concerns. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and we cannot wait to be together with you in person again come February! Love, Austin and Kristin
