Best Man
Eli and I met in the 8th grade. By 9th grade we were friends, and by 10th we were hanging out every weekend and trying our best to keep each other out of trouble (not always successfully). Mostly by choice, sometimes because of JROTC obligations. Over the last 10 years we have remained friends even from three states apart. Even after he found out that I was the one leaving Slenderman notes on his car in 12th grade. He even let me be one of his best men for his own wedding last November. Luckily for me, Katy was so supportive during it that he promised he would behave during my own wedding (if not for me, then for Katy). He has supported my relationship with Katy from the start, and while it wasn't immediate, he has grown to understand all that I see in her.
Maid of Honor
“I met Katy in 6th grade. It’s hard to pinpoint the exact moment we became best friends because honestly we just clicked right away. We’ve been through just about everything two best friends can be through and still somehow we put up with each other. Crazy... I know. I've never had such a consistent person I could rely on through so many years than this girl. I couldn’t imagine doing life any other way than with her right along for the crazy ride and now I get to share one of the most special days ever as her right hand man and I couldn’t be more excited!”
Best Man
Jack and I met in the 9th grade thanks to JROTC and Minecraft. By 10th grade we were in class together drinking Monster and Venom. He and I have traveled all over the country together and, even though it was a close call a few times, we have survived well past our 21st birthdays (some people from high school lost that bet). He and I are proof that with enough determination and politeness (and a lack of forward thinking), you can BS your way through almost anything, including having the capabilities to build a 30 foot wooden backyard playhouse in January. We once convinced a guy that we had enough A/V experience to be the announcers for the girls lacrosse team. He got me my first job in high school, and he's the reason I met Katy which I can never thank him enough for.

"We met through cheerleading in high school and have been friends ever since. I knew we would be friends the first time she opened her mouth because she just tells you how it is whether or not you want to hear it. Katy has always followed her own path. In fact, when we were at cheer practice she decided she wanted to try to do a back tuck and I warned her not to, but since she’s stubborn she went ahead and did it. She ended up breaking her hand (Definitely should have listened to me, just saying). However, this same stubborn quality has also lead her to accomplish so many things. I’m so excited to be a part of such a big day for Katy and Austin both and can’t wait to celebrate the two of them!"
Groomsman
While obviously not a man, Laura has become one of my closest friends in the last 5 years. So I decided to make her one of my groomsmen. We met only because she decided that we should study together in undergrad one semester when she realized that we were in all the same classes. By the next semester we were specifically choosing classes together, and by our final year we were living together. During those three years in undergrad we worked together as TA's, RA's, and even presented together at a conference in New York and toured the NY Facebook office (and then proceeded to party like it was 1999). Whenever Katy came to visit we would all hang out together, either at our apartment, a party, or an escape room. Laura and Katy have even become as close of friends as Laura and I are.

"I met Katy when we were freshman in college. When she first pulled up to move into our dorm, she had literally everything she owned with her. I was freaked out at first because you always hear horror stories about terrible roommates when you get to college, but I guess I just got lucky because I don’t know if I would’ve survived our first year without her. She made sure I went to class and did my homework, and she was always there for me when I needed her. I know she’s going to be that friend to be for the rest of my life, and now I’m so excited that I get to be there on one of the most important days of hers."
Groomsman
Tyler is one of my many cousins that live in Pennsylvania. Only 4 years younger than me, we have growing up together for most of my life. Between swimming in Uncle Danny's pool to playing Mario Cart on the GameCube, we were never bored hanging out at Nana's house. Luckily we were all interested in playing the same games as each other. We even get to share the same life long experience of being color blind (yay genetics). Although we don't see each other as much now that we have school and work, we still get to spend holidays together and enjoy catching up whenever we can. Even if it means watching bad Thanksgiving football games or holiday movies on repeat.

'I met Katy on the walk from Hess to Thompson-Boling Arena at the beginning of recruitment. We immediately bonded over the fact that I was from Orlando, Florida, where Katy’s family was supposedly moving to. We were both excited to have another person to spend breaks with. As it turns out, Katy and her family never moved to Orlando and my family ended up moving to Asheville. In spite of this, Katy and I become thick as thieves. I’ve loved my friendship with Katy and our memories of late night Pitch Perfect screenings, backflips gone very wrong, early morning workouts, and many spontaneous adventures. I’ve only known Katy for about 4 years, but she has very quickly become my best friend and I'm so honored and excited to be able to share her special day with her!'
Ring Bearer & Flower Girl
Brooks and Ava are Katy's cousins. They are both six years old, however, they will be celebrting their seventh birthday the day before we tie the knot! They both see Katy as the perfect role model and plan to follow in Katy's footsteps in the future. Ava with cheerleading and Brooks with the military.
Junior Bridesmaid & Groomsman
Kylie and Tristan are two of Austin's cousins from Pennsylvania. Kylie is a high school student, and more importantly, a great varsity softball player, while Tristan is an elementary school student with a passion for learning about WWII. Even though there are quite a few year separating all of us, we still manage to have fun together whenever the family gets together, and I am glad they will be a part of our wedding.
Maia of Honor
"My parents love me more than they love each other." Maia was adopted in August 2018 shortly after the engagement! She certainly is a handful with her sassy attitude but we wouldn't have it any other way.
