In light of COVID, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our wedding celebration on 4/3/21. We got married on July 11, 2020 at an intimate ceremony, surrounded by our parents and siblings, and we are so thankful for that incredible day. We appreciate your continued love and support, and hope to see you all soon!
When planning the proposal, he wanted to do an outdoor location that was special to both of them. He decided on a waterfall that they frequently visited when Jordan was in town during their year and a half of long distance. He planned it on a summer Friday where they had an afternoon to hike. It took some convincing as it was fairly rainy but, because Austin had the photographer lined up, there wasn't a chance of rescheduling. He took Jordan and his dog Tucker out to the trail with the ring in his cargo khakis. Jordan says these shorts were the hint she had of a possible proposal - Austin never wears these out on hikes. They made their way down and, when finally making it to the waterfall, Austin took Tucker to the middle of the water in front of the waterfall. Knowing he'd have a tough time getting Jordan in the water with shoes, he faked a snake bite and yelled for her to get Tucker. When she ran to grab him, Austin went down on one knee and asked her to be with him forever. And she said yes.
