Are you reserving a block of rooms somewhere? Suggestions on where to stay?

Answer

We are not reserving a block of rooms with any hotels. We suggest checking out Airbnb for available options as well as hotels in Traverse City. Interlochen area also has options for Airbnbs and cabin rentals that may be more affordable and it is the same distance from the wedding venue as downtown Traverse City.

Where is the venue?

Answer

The venue is at 6800 N Long Lake Rd which is about a 15 minute drive from downtown Traverse City and a 15 minute drive from Interlochen. The location is Twin Lakes Park and as you pull in, the first building on your left is the Gilbert Lodge where the wedding will take place.

Is the wedding indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outside under a pavilion in the park at 4:30. Plan to arrive around 4:00 to get settled and take your seats before the start of the ceremony. Following the ceremony, we will move into the air-conditioned lodge for the cocktail hour and reception.
