Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

It's not that we don't want you to include your special someone on our special day but the venue has limited seating so if your invite says "and Guest" then by all means bring your 2nd favorite person (We assume Jason and I tie for 1st favorite, right!?!) but if it's addressed to you alone we are extending the invite just to you. However, after dinner and when the cocktail tables have been set up you are welcome to invite your date, the main issue is seating for the ceremony and dinner. Please take no offense.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

We wont be putting a strict "No Children" policy in place but would prefer adults only. If schedules and things of that nature dont allow you to leave them home we are happy to have you and your family join. The more the merrier, right? Keep in mind that some of the music later in the evening will not be kid friendly and some may be borderline explicit and there will be alcohol present.

Question

What happens after dinner?

Answer

After dinner the banquet staff will come up and remove a large portion of the dinner tables and replace them with cocktail tables as well as clear the area for the dance floor. From there the party really starts, grab a drink and mingle, show off your sweet dance moves, find true love, or whatever sparks your fancy. Snacks will be provided later in the evening so those of you who need a bit of nosh after drinks and dancing can dig in!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

This isnt a black tie affair at Buckingham Palace but we'd prefer you look nice, please no denim, sneakers, or t-shirts, sunglasses will not be allowed in pictures unless taken outside, but otherwise feel free to pull out that romper or those strappy wedges you bought on black Friday that you've been waiting all winter to wear, after all, its April 25th so its not too hot, not too cold, and you can wear a light jacket!

Question

What sort of food will be provided?

Answer

We will have a buffet style dinner provided. There will be a mixed green house made salad with ranch and balsamic dressing to choose from, toasted garlic bread, baked Italian pasta with house made marinara and beef, or Alfredo Pasta (vegetarian). For those of you with additional dietary restrictions or preferences there are gluten free and vegan options if you choose to go to Paddy O'Neills or Vertex before or after the reception.

Question

Is it open bar or cash bar?

Answer

While we would love to be able to provide our guests with limitless drinks we unfortunately have opted to do a cash bar, there will be one in the Lincoln room during the room change after the ceremony and a bar is available in the ballroom. Cash and cards are accepted, and an ATM is located in the lobby. Most importantly, dont forget to tip your bartenders!

Question

What sort of transportation options are available in the area?

Answer

The Rapid City area has Lyft and a small selection of taxi companies. We do not have Uber fully intact nor do we recommend the local taxi companies. There is a shuttle from most of the hotels in the city to the airport and we do have Hertz and Enterprise for rental cars.

Question

Cameras/Phones

Answer

We have an amazing photographer/friend flying all the way from Hawaii and would like to request that for the ceremony there are no phones or cameras visible. She has an amazing talent and we dont want anything getting in the way of her work flow.
