Austin and I met at a Young Adults (shout out Sean O’Connor- “yeah baby”) boating day at Green Peter Lake. Austin’s dad was one of boat drivers and his son Austin, was there to teach people how to “get up on a wakeboard.” We just happened to be on the same boat. I wasn’t on the boat looking for a relationship-I was just trying to have some fun! Austin and I made small talk throughout the day, but that was about it. Little did I know what was about to happen. About a week later, I received a DM on Instagram from the one. The only. Austin. Ueeck. He asked me out on a date. I didn’t respond for 48 hours. During that time, I did what every girl would do: stalked his instagram! I came upon a post that read, “Cheers to the 11th year” and the first thought that came to my mind- “Oh my gosh, HE’S 16!” LOL! I was not about to go to jail! So I replied back to the DM and “That’s so nice of you. I’m just not in a place right now that I’m looking for anything.” And that was that! Later that week, I ran into my sister, Natalee and told her all about this random guy who DM’d me. She said, “Jacquelyn, you never get asked on dates. Why would you say no?!” Immediately after that convo, I reached back to Austin and verified his age, which he responded, “Uh….19. 19 1/2 to be exact.” Well it’s been almost two years and now we’re getting married!!!!
