Our story started senior year of college thanks to a little nudge from my roommate, who thought Austin and I might just hit it off. I remembered him as one of her friends from freshman year, but we had never really even talked to each other before. That first day, we ended up watching New Girl and talking for hours, and it felt easy from the very beginning. Our early dates were simple and perfect. They included gingerbread making contests, more New Girl nights, Austin showing me his favorite hidden gems around Lincoln, and lots of FaceTime dates after I moved back to KC. Only four months into dating, Austin packed up his life and moved to Kansas City with me, Ellie, and Kanye, and it already felt like we were a family. Over the past three years, our family has grown to include Sadie and Blu. On January 14, 2022, Austin officially asked me out, and the rest has been our favorite story ever since!

December 4th, 2021- Our first date January 14th, 2022- Austin asked me to be his girlfriend...only after I sang in front of him, so I of course sang him Justin Bieber. May, 2022- Austin graduated. He moved down to KC and we rented our first house, just outside of Swope Park. June 2023- We moved into a "safer" neighborhood, but Austin was still in for a culture shock living south of Raytown. August 2023- We welcomed Sadie to our family! February 2024- Ellie and Kanye were fed up with Sadie's puppy energy, so we decided to get Sadie a friend. Blu joined our family, with our pets now outnumbering us two to one. May 20th, 2024- Austin popped the question on the beach in Mexico, surprising me with not only a ring and a 5-course beach-side dinner. I said "Yes" of course!! We spent the rest of the week exploring Chichén Itzá, relaxing at the spa, tasting tequila, and enjoying our first of many vacations together. August 2024- Austin and I experienced our first time car shopping together because my car got stolen overnight in our safe neighborhood. September 2025- We booked our venue and set our date to get married!!
