Austin and I met in middle school. We shared the same group of friends, so we were always around each other. In seventh grade, we both liked one another, but I was too scared to date because I didn’t want to risk ruining our friendship. When eighth grade started, I found out that one of my friends liked him, and I realized I needed to speak up or we might never end up together. Both my best friend and his best friend knew how we felt about each other, so one day while we were walking to lunch, they came up to me and asked if I would date him. Of course, I said yes! Since that day, we have been by each other’s side from the very beginning. I know, I know—puppy love, right?
