FAQs

Question

What airports should I fly into?

Answer

The most convenient airport is Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP). Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is also a great option with more flight availability, about 1.5–2 hours away.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend staying in either Greenville, SC or the Tryon NC area nearest the venue or the Spartanburg, SC area near us depending on your plans for the weekend. Greenville offers more hotels, restaurants, and nightlife, while Tryon is closer to the venue and more quiet and scenic. Spartanburg is close to us and we’d love to be close to you to see you all!

Question

Is there a hotel block or recommended lodging?

Answer

There is no formal hotel block. We suggest booking early since this is a popular area for weekend travel and weddings.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Pictures will be taken around 2 or 3 pm. If you want to be a part of them you are all welcome - if you are a family member or close friends, you know who you are, please be at the venue by 1 or 2. Everybody is welcome to arrive at any reasonable hour. If you don’t want to hang out with us before the ceremony, we recommend arriving 15–30 minutes early so you can find your seat, relax, and enjoy the full ceremony experience. Ceremony starts at 6pm.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If your invitation includes a plus one, it will be listed when you RSVP. Due to space, we kindly ask that only named guests attend.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

Children are welcome, but please include them in your RSVP so we can plan food preparation and the table & chair rental accordingly!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Dress however makes you feel good. Semi-formal is suggested, but comfort matters more to us. Think relaxed, pretty/ handsome, and wedding-ready! but PLEASE don’t stress about it. We’ll be outdoors in the mountains, so comfy shoes are your best friend! And it may get a little chillier at night.

Question

What should I bring?

Answer

A change of clothes. After the ceremony/ during the reception and weather depending- we do plan on having outdoor games (corn hole, disc golf, giant connect four, giant jenga, etc.) which is good news for non-dancers!

Question

Is there alcohol at the wedding?

Answer

This is a BYOB event. Guests are welcome to bring their own beverages if they’d like. We just ask that everyone drinks responsibly and enjoys the night safely so we can all have a fun, relaxed celebration together!

Question

What food are you serving?

Answer

Select family members are cooking food for the celebration. The menu will include pasta variations, salad, bread variations, and dessert with cookie platters and cupcakes—buffet style set up. If you are interested in contributing or helping in any way, please feel free to reach out to the bride! We would love and appreciate it!

Question

Is parking available?

Answer

Yes, parking will be available at the venue. For free :) .. although we do recommend carpooling

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be in the same place?

Answer

Yes, everything will take place at the same venue so you don’t need to travel between events.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’d love for you to be present with us during the ceremony, so we kindly ask for an unplugged ceremony and will share photos with you afterward.

Question

Where’s the registry?

Answer

We promise that for us, just your presence and effort made to be there is enough. If you are insistent, we would kindly accept investments towards our future home together. Appreciated greatly but not expected at all. We truly just want you to celebrate us and be a part of our day!

Question

What should I do while I’m in town?

Answer

We’re so glad you’re making a trip out of it! Check out Greenville, SC for great food and shopping, or enjoy the mountain views and small-town charm around Tryon, NC. We’ve also listed some of our favorite activities in the “Things to Do” section. If you’re planning anything fun as a group or thinking about getting together with other guests, please reach out to us too! We’d love to see everyone as long as we can and may be able to join in depending on our schedule. We want this weekend to feel like a celebration with all of our favorite people, not just the wedding day itself.

Question

Who should I contact if I have questions?

Answer

Feel free to reach out to either the bride or groom if you need anything or have questions! We’re happy to help!
