Our Story

Coco and Austin met in Billings, Montana, at the Professional Bull Riding Competition (PBR) in May 2021 — just three weeks after Coco moved to Montana — through mutual friends. Neither of them were looking for anything serious at the time, but fate had other plans (and what could be more romantic than meeting at Daisy Dukes in Billings?) After that night, and after a few tries, Austin finally convinced Coco to go on a date with him to Blackbird in Bozeman. She was hesitant at first, having just moved to a new state, but agreed and that date changed everything. They spent hours laughing, eating, and talking about everything from their different upbringings to Austin’s time in culinary school and Coco’s travels to Kenya. By the end of the night, they both knew this was something different and from there on they continued their relationship. For the first two years of dating, they had what they liked to call the best of both worlds: a mountain apartment in Big Sky (Austin’s place) and a city home in Bozeman (Coco’s Condo). They bounced between the two since they both worked in Big Sky, and before long, they were spending nearly every day together. Their routine was perfectly shaped around the seasons — fall meant football, and Coco quickly became a proud MSU fan; winter brought early mornings on the mountain chasing first tracks before work; and summer was for endless adventures. They were always on the move, always saying “yes” to something new, surrounded by amazing friends and shared laughter. Their adventures took them far beyond Montana — from Kenya for Coco’s friend’s wedding, to her hometown of Philadelphia. Visiting Austin's family homestead in the Black Hills of South Dakota. And ski trips with family and friends to the mountains like Snowbird and Sun Valley, always chasing their shared love of adventure. In February 2023, Coco moved to Big Sky. It finally felt right no more back-and-forth, just a home together. They created new traditions, like their beloved Sunday family dinners with friends, a ritual they never miss. Life together felt full and steady, and they both knew they had found their forever person. Then, on March 22, 2025, Austin planned the most incredible proposal one that reflected everything they love doing together. He coordinated every detail: inviting Coco’s brother AJ, sister-in-law Vala, and friends from coast to coast. With no idea what was coming, Coco joined Austin and AJ for what seemed like a typical ski day at Big Sky Resort. After waiting for over an hour for the tram to open in whiteout conditions, they finally headed up the mountain with their friend Sean — a freelance photographer (which, somehow, Coco didn’t think twice about).
At the top, after the crowd cleared and Coco tried to warm up, Austin got down on one knee and asked the question that would change everything: “Will you marry me?” Without hesitation, Coco said “Yes, yes, yes!” Coco and Austin can’t wait to celebrate their love story and this next chapter with you all on August 22, 2026. Together, their life has been and will always be full of adventure, friendship, and love.
