In August 2017, Austin and Cassie were both enrolled in a Statistics course at Panola College. They sat beside each other throughout the semester, quietly sharing the same space without ever speaking. Though they recognized one another’s names and faces, their connection never extended beyond a passing glance. Two years later, in June 2019—after graduating from Panola and now living seven hours apart—they reconnected through social media. What began as a simple conversation quickly turned into something meaningful. Their first date was in Tyler, Texas, a halfway point between them, and from that day forward, they were inseparable. As the summer came to a close, Austin returned to Texas A&M Kingsville, and Cassie began nursing school at UT Tyler. Despite the long distance, their relationship continued to grow. Over the next three years, they built a strong foundation rooted in trust, communication, and commitment to each other's growth. After graduation, although still living three hours apart, they remained committed to each other and to their shared future. The distance allowed them space to grow individually, ultimately strengthening their bond and preparing them for life together. In September 2023, they finally began living under the same roof. While this brought new challenges, the years they had spent nurturing a long-distance relationship gave them the confidence and resilience to face life’s changes as a team. In January 2025, Austin proposed to Cassie, and she said yes. In May 2026, they will celebrate their wedding surrounded by those who have supported them from the beginning, ready to begin the next chapter of their lives—together. From strangers to inseparable.
