We met at Pittsburg State University in 2019, where we were set up on a blind date by our roommates who were dating each other. We went on a double date, dinner and bowling, as our first date. The two couples ended the night watching movies and planning our next get together. Austin went to leave at the end of the night, and to my disappointment, he left without a kiss goodnight. To my surprise, just moments after leaving, he knocked on the door again. I thought it was going to be a Hallmark movie moment where he came back for a kiss... but he had actually just left without his boots... (he still forgets everything, all the time.) Our relationship started off easy going and full of laughter. We instantly became friends, and that is the foundation we have built our relationship on. Almost three years after that first date, Austin invited me, his mom, Lisa, twin brother, Zane, and my parents, David and Brandi, to go to an escape room in Kansas City, called Beasley's Billions. The goal of the escape room was to find the hidden treasure left behind by Beasley the billionaire. I never thought anything of it, as going to escape rooms was very common for us - we had done at least 8 in the last year. To my complete surprise, when I unlocked the last clue to find Beasley's treasure, I opened up the chest and found my engagement ring! We are so excited to be starting our lives together, and we are so excited to celebrate with you. We are honored to have you be a part of our big day!
