Austin and Brianna met in their 9th grade Environmental Science class! While their friendship began to blossom, they never imagined that almost 7 years later they would be planning their wedding together. They officially began dating March 8, 2013. They have spent all of high school and now almost all of college together.

On their 5 year anniversary Austin and Brianna had planned to get breakfast and then go hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway. However, their plans were interrupted when a snow storm closed down the hiking trail that they had planned to go on. Once they realized it, Austin insisted they still go on a hike. He found an open trail called Flat Rock Overlook. It was freezing cold but they were determined to make the most of their day. Once they were at the top of the mountain, Austin suggested that they take a picture looking out towards the mountain. While Brianna stood waiting for him to set up the camera, Austin ran down towards her and instead of meeting her at her side, dropped down on one knee behind her. She turned around to the sound of her name. Instantly she knew that the moment she had waited so long for was finally here. Austin asked Brianna if she would be his wife. Without hesitation she said "YES!"
