Question

Is there lodging at the venue?

Answer

Yes! The hotel is on site and just a short shuttle ride from where the ceremony will take place. To book within our room block, please call 866-966-4820 and reference room block # 127894. Note: You must call the phone number to reserve a room under our block.

Question

What is the closest airport to fly into?

Answer

For our guests flying in, the closest airport is in Burlington, VT, roughly an hour and a half drive to the venue. Boston Logan is an alternative as well. It may have more flight options for you, however it would be roughly a three hour drive to the venue.

Question

What happens if it is raining?

Answer

This is an outdoor wedding and mountain weather can be unpredictable. If it decides to be a soggy afternoon, the ceremony will take place in the hotel!

Question

Is Burke Mountain Hotel dog friendly?

Answer

Yes, but there is a weight limit. Check website for more info.

Question

Alternatives to staying at Burke Mountain Hotel?

Answer

There are plenty of airbnb's in the area as well as camping and lodging in Lyndon/St. Johnsbury, but we encourage folks to stay at the hotel as there will be no transportation provided to and from the mountain.

Question

Are children welcome at the wedding?

Answer

While we love kids, our wedding guests will be limited to only the names noted on your invitation. We look forward to having our guests relax and let loose!

Question

Will there be facilities available during the ceremony?

Answer

While there will be a port-a-potty available for emergencies during the ceremony, we strongly recommend using the facilities at the hotel before boarding the shuttles.

Question

What time can I check into my room?

Answer

If you book a room at the hotel, check in time is anytime after 4pm. If you can’t get an early check in before the shuttles leave for the ceremony, you will be able to check in after the reception. The hotel does have a pool and hot tub, serviced by a corresponding locker room that folks can use to get ready for the ceremony if you are unable to secure an early check in and need a space to change. Check out is by 11 am on Sunday.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Guests are welcome to enjoy an open bar during our cocktail hour. Beer and Wine will be open and available throughout the night as well. Following the cocktail hour, mixed drinks will remain available for purchase.

Question

Will there be an after party?

Answer

While there will be no formal after party, there is a bar at the hotel that folks are welcome to gather at after the reception ends. You are also welcome to bring outside food and drinks to your hotel room, but please note that the venue does not allow outside food or drink in the common areas.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

All those listed on the invitation are invited to the wedding.

Question

What is the dress attire?

Answer

Black tie optional

Question

How do we get to the ceremony location?

Answer

School busses will leave the hotel lobby promptly at 2:10pm to transport guests up to the outdoor mountainside Pavilion location for the ceremony. Please aim to be in the lobby by 2pm so you don’t miss the shuttles! The same shuttles will also bus guests back down to the hotel for the cocktail hour/reception once the ceremony is over.
