It all started when Amanda’s mom and her best friends, Toni and Bobby, locked her in the trunk of the car while they called this poor guy, Austin. All they told her was “he’s blonde, has a good job, and drives a nice car… you’ll love him”. Obviously, he was confused when they called, then saw the ugly picture they sent him, and all he could think was “ what kind of girl needs her mom to set her up”. Thankfully, he took the jump and texted her anyway. It only took like a month of texting and calling, for them to have their first date! It didn’t take long for him to kiss her at the end of the night in front of the Philadelphia Art Museum and mutter the words “finally” after. I know, cheesy right? But her heart melted and the rest was history!

We got a free trip to go to Punta Cana after sitting through some boring time share spiel. Don’t worry we didn’t sign up but we surely did take the all inclusive free trip! We soaked up the sun, drank many frozen cocktails, and ate extravagant dinners each night. Amanda, being the picture lover, saw a family taking pictures on the beach and suggested to take “cute pics” to put on our house walls one day. Since, that’s what her family did every time they traveled somewhere. Austin, took full advantage making her think it was all her idea, when in reality he had it planned all along. On the day of our pup Carson’s birthday, we took pictures all around our hotel, while Austin was freaking out thinking he was going to lose the ring in his pocket. When we got down to the beach, we took a few pictures, and Amanda was ready to be done, saying “I think we’re good, I’m hungry, and my hair is growing”. Kevin, the photographer said “let’s take a few more”. Finally, he posed Amanda up by the water and made Austin stand back. She thought she was getting an individual picture but when she turned around Austin was down on one knee. Unfortunately, neither one of us remember what Austin said besides for “will you marry me?”. But Austin will never forget the first words that Amanda said, “No, shut up, get up, you’re lying”. After she finally realized this was real, the tears started flowing and she couldn’t stop nodding her head “yes”. We were ENGAGED! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
