We met each other through Facebook, but we were Facebook friends for years without knowing it. We both went to UMD together for college, but never connected despite one of my best friends being his freshman roommate. We had multiple mutual friends, but still never managed to meet. Finally we went to the same Business Venture summer program in St. Cloud when we were younger, but never met until now. One of us describes this as fate, but either way, it was the beginning of the New Year, and also the beginning of us. <3
Justin had the ring 4 months before he proposed, and had already asked my parents for my hand in marriage without me knowing any of it. He had fully customized the ring, from the band to the diamond itself. He made my dream ring into a reality. He took me out for our 1 year anniversary, but little did I know he would get on one knee that same day. He took me to an upscale restaurant called RH Rooftop in Edina where we sat right in front of this beautiful water fountain with ambient lighting. We ordered our food and decided to exchange gifts. He told me to close my eyes and stand up so he can put the gift on me (little did I know it was for a proposal). He told me to open my eyes and there he was on one knee with the ring. We both were so in shock that he didn't mutter any words until 10 seconds after proposing, so I said yes before he said anything! He laughed and said to let him say what he wanted to say before I answer. He asked me to marry him and I of course said yes, otherwise we wouldn't be here today! He had a professional photographer hiding during all of this to capture the magical moment of the proposal. It was one of the best and more memorable days of our lives. <3
