Cell phone reception in this area will be spotty due to the remote location. You might be able to get cell phone service at the mountaintop cabins, but it will be limited between cabins. However, there is WiFi in all of the cabins and at the Buffalo Outdoor Center, and it is recommended you download any navigation routes while on wifi instead of planning to rely on cell service.
In general, the food options are relatively limited. The Buffalo Outdoor Center is down the road from Ponca Creek Lodge and has breakfast burritos and made-to-order sandwiches. They also have some frozen foods and convenience store items. Jasper is 25 minutes away and has three restaurants. Ozark Cafe is a Southern classic restaurant and has a continental breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, and ice cream. The Low Gap Cafe is a great restaurant with a refined menu and is very highly rated! Finally, there is Jasper Pizza Company which has great reviews.
There is a small grassy field next to Ponca Creek Lodge for parking. There is also a gravel parking lot in front of the lodge itself, but please do not park there as it's a drop off spot only. If you booked a nearby cabin from BOC, you could also consider walking as an option as well.
The weather is typically in the high 60s- low 70s during the day and will drop to the low 40s- 50s at night since it's in a mountain valley. Please bring enough warm clothes with you to stay comfortable!
Absolutely not! This will be a relaxed wedding weekend and guests can come and go as they please. Come hang out for as long or as little as you would like, depending on your schedule. We want you to enjoy your weekend and everything the Ozarks have to offer!
