AJ and I met through mutual friends at a Nashville Predators hockey game. Ironically, neither of us was a hockey fan, and neither of us was looking for a relationship. Looking back, we truly believe God had a different plan. What started as a simple night out quickly became something special. We spent the entire evening talking, laughing, and dancing. Conversation came so naturally that neither of us wanted the night to end. As the evening came to a close, AJ was nervous and never worked up the courage to ask for my phone number before we headed our separate ways. Not long after I got home, my phone lit up with a Facebook notification. AJ had sent me a friend request along with a message. That one message turned into countless conversations, unforgettable memories, and a love story we never expected. We both believe God played a huge role in bringing us together that night. What seemed like a chance meeting was really His perfect timing. We weren’t looking for each other, but God knew exactly what He was doing. His timing was never questioned, and we are so grateful that our paths crossed when they did. The rest, as they say, is history—and now we can’t wait to begin this next chapter together as husband and wife.
