Our story is one that has been told many times. But for those who have never heard it, or just want to hear it again, here it is! We first met on September 4th of ‘04 at a community event in Ohio City. Both our parents brought us separately and Josephine technically made the first move as she decided to help Austin with the art piece he had started. To this day, we still have that piece of art framed in our home. Fast forward about 10 years, we were 17 years old and once again, our parents dragged us to another event to volunteer. This time, it was because both our younger siblings were at the same school. We quickly became close and have been best friends ever since. Now approximately 10 years after our friendship began, we own a home and 3 amazing pets and will officially get to say “I Do” to a lifetime of our relationship!

Despite Austin and Josephine writing the date on the art piece they made together as 6 year olds, Josephine never paid attention to what the date actually was. So, Austin took advantage of this when we were deciding on dates for a trip to Puerto Rico and planned the engagement to be on the day we met, 19 years later. After a beachside stroll through a historic area of Puerto Rico, he got down on one knee and popped the question!
