Austin travelled to Jax in the summer to visit family, not intending to make Jax his home. However that quickly changed, and he began enjoying the church his brother took him to! It was there that Austin was introduced to a mutual friend, who upon noticing the Captain America socks on his feet, felt that he needed an introduction to Faith, a huge Cap fan! A Top Golf night was arranged, and Austin was smitten immediately! According to the group, he very smoothly asked Faith for her number at the end of the night. Through that week there was lots of texting, and the next weekend Austin visited Faith every day, game night, lightsaber battles, time with the family. They each shared their fave movies with each other, Faith loved “Interstellar” as Austin’s fave, and Austin loved “Beauty and the Beast” as Faith’s fave!  At the end of those few days it was apparent that Austin and Faith were meant to be, and the entire family were (including Faith!) quickly falling in love with him! Faith and her family had a trip planned to Disney, and no surprise that it flowed perfectly to have Austin join! On 09/26/19 the entire family headed south. Taking the traditional selfie in the car, Lynn created a flurry of social media attention when she realized that in the photo Faith and Austin were holding hands! Everyone wanted to know what the heck was going on! Upon arrival in Walt Disney World, Faith and Austin headed into Magic Kingdom for the day. Upon arrival in MK, they headed straight to the castle for a Disney PhotoPass picture. Of course, the entire McFaul family share a Disney website, so every PP photo immediately gets uploaded! Imagine the reactions as we all get a photo pop up of the two of them sharing their first kiss! That evening Austin and Faith went for a walk with Faith’s parents. Austin took a moment alone with Rob to request his permission to ask Faith to be his girlfriend! Of course Rob agreed, and that is the story of the beginning of their Happily Ever After!

Austin and Faith knew pretty quickly that forever was the plan! Austin arranged an evening out with Faith’s parents, sister and brother-in-law to request permission for her hand in marriage. They talked about the future, and both knew that a proposal in Disney was what they wanted. It was also important to Faith that her Grandmother could be there for the event, so Austin proceeded to plan the perfect proposal with the assistance of Faith’s family. A trip to Disney was planned, and the Disney Fairytale Wedding people contacted. The proposal was planned, the ring was in hand, and Austin was counting the days…then this crazy virus happened and everything got cancelled! With Disney closed, and Faith’s Grandmother on a timeline for returning to Canada for the summer, Austin had to figure out a new plan! He spoke to Lynn, and they decided together that it was time to get input from Faith. Lynn found a beautiful spot at an entrance to Disney that would give Faith and Austin the backdrop they wanted with the Disney magical feeling. The date was chosen, and the family jumped in cars for a day trip to Orlando. Thus on bended knee Austin asked Faith to be his forever, and obviously she said yes!
