Yes! There are a few! The reception will still be located at Camp Ladore, however it has become necessary to move it outdoors under a tent in the lawn adjacent to the Carousel building. We are still expecting a beautiful setting as we will be next to the lake. (We suggest comfortable shoes and a light sweater/jacket for the evening.) There will be signs leading you to where the party begins! Also, due to sensitivity to social distancing, there will be a limitation on the number of guests seated in the sanctuary. For more information on how seating will be arranged, please see the next question, "How will seating be arranged in light of social distancing?"
For the most part, we will only be able to seat family, and those helping with the wedding and their families, in that room. All are still more than welcome to attend and we'd love to have you to join in the spirit of excitement! We will be seating the overflow in the chapel next to the sanctuary where viewing will be live for the processional/recessional and livestreamed for the remaining. We apologize for this circumstance! In light of this new seating requirement, should you wish to attend the reception and forego the ceremony, we understand! Please text your name(s) and "reception only" to Betsy Skelton (Mother of the Bride) at 570 647 8248. Start time for the reception will be 5pm. (Volunteering for chapel seating is greatly appreciated! Again, text Betsy Skelton and let her know. Thank you!
We will space people for the ceremony in family groups. The church is regularly cleaned and we have been asked that people wear masks in the lobby and common areas. There will be hand sanitizer available in the church lobby. For the reception, we will be sitting at tables outside under a tent. How far apart we can space tables has yet to be seen. We will be providing staff to serve the food in the buffet line during the main dinner hour. Thank you for understanding that everyone may not be having the same experience and risk factors regarding COVID. We wish to be considerate to those who must be more careful than others. Thank you!
We are much more concerned about having a celebratory day than with what you are wearing! While the ceremony will feel more traditional, the reception will be more casual. Please wear what makes you feel confident yet comfortable and enjoy the evening!
