Aurora and Jack met at Saline High School, most memorably in Mr.Lauchu and Senora Aiken's classes where they were sat next to each other. Jack would write smiley faces on Aurora's notes to make her smile because "she is always too serious". Though we had a few classes together, nothing much came of this until later...
At the end of their first year of college, Jack sent a direct message (DM) to Aurora with questions about nursing school. To talk more, they set up a coffee meeting. Aurora conveniently had a dentist appointment set up as an escape route, though she later regretted having to leave so soon. After that meeting, they continued to talk throughout the summer and officially started dating in June 2019.
Jack met Aurora at her car after a day at work. He gave her flowers and asked her to be his valentine. Of course, she said yes. They went to walk into the house and Jack pulled Aurora onto the patio where there was a heart made of fresh snow and a candle. After some sincere words and tears, Jack proposed and Aurora said yes!
Wellers Weddings occupies the old Saline Ford Factory. The current owner's family bought the property in 1966 and renovated it to be what it is today. Our reception will be held in the "Rasin Room", where the boiler for the factory was. Fun fact: You can see the bench where Jack asked Aurora to be his girlfriend from the ceremony site! We are so excited to share the start of our story with the history on these grounds. If you are interested to learn more, please visit www.wellersweddings.com.
