Cristian and Auri met in the Fall of 2016 at Montclair State University while Cristian was visiting from Rutgers New Brunswick. They were two individuals with two completely different upbringings, who were never supposed to meet. However, God had His own plans. From friends to best friends, they quickly learned about each other’s likes, dislikes, goals, and fears. Cristian discovered Auri was both funnier and more stubborn than he was. In 2019, they finally decided to officially intertwine their worlds.

Fall seems to be Auri and Cristian’s favorite time of the year, in 2019 they moved into their first apartment together. With Auri letting the door swing back and hitting Cristian in the face and other mishaps during the moving process, they were both afraid living together so quickly may not have been the smartest idea. From Auri not telling Cristian in time that his tire was too close to the sidewalk and scratching his rims, to Cristian leaving a few seconds on the microwave; they began to learn about each other’s pet peeves. One year turned into three and each year they grew more in love.

While vacationing in Sint Maarten on August 26th, 2021, Auri walked out to the pool terrace overlooking the ocean and found Cristian down on one knee in front of letters that read “Will you marry me”? Thankfully, her Montclair education paid off as Cristian couldn’t bring himself to speak, let alone pop the question. Auri brought him to a stand, said yes, and that’s where the new chapter in their journey began.

What started off as a regular day quickly took a turn for the better. Exactly a year before their previously planned wedding, Auri found out she was pregnant. On May 17th, 2023, their beautiful baby boy, Jayden Josiah was born. They now have an extra person to share their very special day with.
