A: The dress code for the ceremony and reception is what we're calling "Beachy Cocktail" attire. For ladies, this means a dress (long or short) or jumpsuit, and for the men, a suit or nice pants with a button down shirt/jacket. Please no jeans or shorts!
A: Weather permitting, all activities will be outside. Weather in the Bahamas in May is gorgeous, with temperatures in the 70s/80s.
A: No, the Bahamas accepts US dollars, so no exchange is necessary. They accept most major credit cards and cash, but most places prefer cash. Grocery stores/liquor stores in particular are cash-preferred! (Note: if you use cash, you may get change in Bahamian money. Make sure to use this in the Bahamas before you come home!)
A: Because almost everything is imported, food and drinks are more expensive than in the US. Groceries especially run 1.5/2x the price of what we're used to here, and selection is typically more limited. Restaurant pricing varies based on the restaurant, but all are generally pricier than what we'd expect at home (think, $$-$$$ range on Yelp!).
You must have an updated passport to travel to the Bahamas. The passport must be more than 6 months from expiration post your travels. We suggest working on your passport now, as this is a delayed process right now.
