While neither one of us ever thought online dating would ever be for us, we both decided to try it out. After a few "misses" in meeting people, we both decided it was time to close our accounts. As God would do it, we communicated online right before we closed out our accounts. We spoke for hours on end for several weeks before we ever met in person. The first time we met was literally at an Aldi grocery store. Over the next few weeks, we continued talking every day and truly got to know one another. Our first "official date" was to Huntington Beach for a walk at sunset and then to dinner. That was the day we "made it official". One of our favorite pictures was taken that day by a man who was just trying to get the sunset & we wound up in his shot. His wife stopped us as we were leaving to show us the picture and send it to us. Since we laid a strong Godly foundation from the very beginning, we have been committed to Him and to each other ever since. When we got engaged in December, we decided to plan quickly since we both know that this is right where we both want to be. Once we saw that August 28th was on a weekend, it made the date planning easy. Romans 8:28 says: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” We believe that all the things we have each been through and all the roads we have walked down have led us here. While we were going through life, many parts were painful, but even that pain has led us to meeting and we are truly convinced that we met on purpose, in purpose and for a purpose. We are looking forward to our future together. We are so thankful and grateful to be sharing this exciting time in our lives. Our wedding will be a beautiful culmination of events that have led us to a love neither of us ever expected to have. We are excited to share this part of our journey with you.
