We met in the fall of 2016. Max had just been accepted to the Cal Mock Trial team and met Olivia at the new team member party. Olivia was nothing noteworthy to Max while Max was the “most tolerable” of the new members to Olivia. We kept to ourselves until a year later at the next new member party when Max kept making excuses to stay later to talk with Olivia. After Max’s many date proposals and several wishy-washy responses by Olivia, Olivia relented and we’ve been inseparable ever since. While present-day Max and Olivia are very different from the college kids who fell in love five years ago, our love and support for each other has never been stronger. After graduating from Berkeley, starting new jobs, Olivia going to law school, moving in together, rescuing Charlie, and moving across the country to New York, we have never felt more excited and committed to growing and building a future together. There’s nothing stopping this SoCal gal and NY guy and we are ECSTATIC to celebrate our commitment surrounded by the people we love the most.
