Is there a dress code?

Answer

We’re asking for a "dress to impress" vibe—fun, a little fanciful, and celebratory! Think cocktail or semi-formal attire with your own flair if you're up for it. Glitter, lace, fringe, bold colors, great tailoring—it’s all welcome. We’d love to see outfits that feel joyful and expressive, whether that’s a party dress, full-on gown, a sharp suit, a great jumpsuit, or something else that makes you feel your best! Please no jeans, shorts, or super casual clothing — we’re keeping it festive! When in doubt, it’s always better to be slightly overdressed , you’ll be in good company!

Are my kids invited?

Answer

We would really like to encourage you to consider this an opportunity for an adult date night. However, we do not want our friends with children without easy access to trusted childcare to feel excluded in anyway. If it makes it easier for you to join us, you are welcome to bring your children. However, please note, there is a quite large pond that bumps up against the area where we will be serving dinner. There is not a barrier between the grass and the water and it will be important to keep an eye on small children. There is one extra room in the lodge where babes can be put down later in the event if that is something that works for your family.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both! The ceremony will be outdoors and Beau Lodge has plenty of shade. Cocktail hour and dinner will also be outside, dancing will be indoors. Rest assured, in case of rain we have a backup plan and everything will be covered.

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

We're doing Indian food! Our menu accommodates Gluten Free, Vegan, and Vegetarian needs. Appetizers: Chicken Pakora, Tandoori Chicken, Samosa (potato), Paneer Pakora Mains: Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Vindaloo, Saag Paneer, Aloo Gobi, Desserts: Pista Ice Cream, Mango Ice Cream, and Wedding Cake!

Will there be an open bar?

We will have open Beer and Wine. Unfortunately, we can't have serve liquor at the venue.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

There is plenty of parking! Cars can be left overnight if necessary, they just need to be picked up by 10am the next morning :)

Are there any travel or hotel accommodations?

Answer

We recommend staying in Bellingham or Mt. Vernon, there will be many folks staying in Bellingham! If you prefer something closer The Skagit Casino Resort is very close to the venue.

We will miss your presence! Please rsvp no and and we will hope to see you in the near future.

We don't have a deadline, but please rsvp asap! If you are here on the website, go rsvp.

What about gifts?

Answer

Your presence is the greatest gift, please don't buy us stuff. Please use your money to support your community. If you would like, instead of a wedding gift, consider donating to Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (waisn.org) or other groups doing pro-equity and anti-fascism work in your area.
