Our first date was truly special—it set the tone for our journey. I shared with Andrea how Genesis 2:23-24 beautifully reflected the path God was taking us on: "Then the man said, 'This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.'" (Genesis 2:23, NIV) When I first saw Andrea, I recognized this truth—she is bone of my bones, divinely connected to me. Verse 24 then became our commitment: "That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh." (Genesis 2:24, NIV) We made it our mission to live out verse 23 with faith, love, and God’s guidance so it would lead us to the reality of verse 24—being united as one. Since that day, we’ve grown closer, praying together every morning and evening, diving into Bible studies, and building a relationship grounded in faith. Now, as we prepare to take the next step in our journey, we are walking fully in the promise of Genesis 2:24, ready to be united as one in marriage.
