Maid of Honor
Hi, my name is Wynnie Welles. August is my sister, and I’m the maid of honor. I’m interested about the fashion designer, hair salon, cooking, drawing, and other things. I grew up on Martha’s Vineyard and live in West Tisbury. I can’t wait to see you guys.

Hello! I am Jonah's sister. I first met August when Jonah invited her to some family event, and have considered August family ever since! I am also Zara’s (the Flowergirl's) mom, and Zara is the president of August’s fan club.

I live in Portland Maine and met August on the first day of college at Clark University. I immediately knew that I had found my family away from home and a friendship that would last the rest of our lives. Our friendship, fueled in equal measures by sweet adventures on school breaks, inside jokes that made us laugh for hours, and long late night soul-sharing conversations has helped to make me into a better version of myself. When I met Jonah, it was clear that he and August both brought out the best in each other, and I could not imagine two people better suited to life with one another. I cannot wait to see where this couple’s life takes them next, and am honored to be by their side at their wedding.

Hello! I’m Julia (also known by August as Juj). If you know Aug, chances are you know me too! We’ve been best friends since fourth grade… 20 years ago… ah! She was the first person to welcome me on my very first day at a new school, and from that moment on, we became extensions of each other. Watching her and Jonah blossom in love, first as two incredible people on their own and then together, has been indescribable. I am so incredibly proud and in awe of them. I’m SO excited to celebrate this day, this life, and this love she and Jonah share with each other and the lucky bunch of us!

August and I met on Day 1 at Clark University in 2015. From friends, to roommates, to bachata partners, we’ve had our fair share of life lived together. I remember August and Jonah’s first date, and hearing all about this absolutely lovely guy from her grad class. I now live in Madrid, Spain. While we’re no longer just down the hall, true friendship has yet to feel time nor distance. I am truly honored to be a witness to August and Jonah’s love and true partnership

August and I met at Clark University early on in our freshman year - I quickly knew August would be a life long friend. We bonded over tea times, going out late into the night, and our shared life experiences of growing up in beach towns on an island. Our friendship is one that has withstood distance and time, and I’m so happy to be in a time now where we’re close (emotionally and physically). August recently spent a year of her life making my wedding dress (it turned out incredible because August, as we all know, is incredible), and I am honored to now be a part of her and Jonah’s special day. While I will not be making her wedding dress (no one wants that), I will be doing all that I can to do for her what she has done for me. It is a complete joy and privilege to know and love her

I met Aug when we were 5-year-old when I first moved to the island. We both went to the same daycare, and while we don’t remember this time as well, the adults around us tell us stories of us playing together as little ones. We saw each other through all the awkwardness and excitement of middle and high school and watched each other grow into adults through many calls and visits while we each figured out how we wanted our lives to look. When I told Aug I was moving to Providence and asked her for housing recomendations she texted me a few hours later saying she and Jonah discussed it, and they would love it if I moved in with them. I was so moved by their generosity, as I know many are, and living with the two of them and Muddy (<3) was such a gift. Aug and Jonah are a home away from home, and although we don’t live together anymore, staying with them when I commute to Providence is the absolute best, and I cannot believe how lucky I am to have them in my life. I am so so overjoyed to be celebrating August and Jonah and the love they both share with one another and with everyone in their orbit, of which I am so blessed to be a part of.
Best Man
I’m Tobias, Jonah’s twin and entire-lifelong friend. Having grown up side-by-side, I couldn’t be more excited to stand by his side on such a special day. I live in Pittsburgh with my partner, Kira, and our Goose. I enjoy biking, tinkering, and traveling.
Groomsman
I am Jonah’s oldest brother, and live in Pittsburgh with my wife, Christine, and daughter Eula. I introduced Best Dog, Muddy, to Jonah in 2020, and the rest is history. I am an avid gardener and am in the process of turning my backyard into an orchard.

Jonah and I first met one fateful day at a practice for the under-10 division of Pittsburgh Dynamo Soccer’s Blue Team. Since then, we have shared many memorable memories, including debuting our 2013 film The Bus Stop, sleeping at a truck stop in the Arizona desert in a rented camper van, and sharing a brief stint as brothers at a hospital in Ontario. I am from and currently live in Pittsburgh with my wife and two cats, Alfie and Peewee. When I am not celebrating weddings, I can be found running on the trails in Frick Park. I couldn’t be more honored to be part of Jonah & August’s big day!
Groomsman
Jonah and I met one fated day in 1998 at Carriage House Children’s Center Inc. I now live a short train ride away from him in New York City where we once went to the Transit Museum together and explored the past, present, and future of mass transit. In my free time I enjoy making and listening to music, running, and long car rides with Muddy. I dislike the idea of outer space (too big), and not living in the same city as my guy!

Ever since meeting in the three-day-threes preschool classroom of Carriage House, Jonah has been a major figure in my life. From our heated disputes in the purple minivan over which radio station to listen to (Kiss FM over Bob FM), to Frick Middle School’s famed “multipurpose room,” to the shores of Lake Erie at the cottage, and even as far as to the Russian disputed territory of Transnistria, Moldova, Jonah and I have been through it all! We truly got to grow up together, and I feel so fortunate to have had Jonah by my side as we navigated life’s major stepping stones and transitions! Pittsburgh has remained the place that I call home. I live with my partner, Marissa and our sweet kitty boy Morris in Morningside in a house that may only have furniture now, thanks to Jonah accepting my plea to use his van to transport my stuff across town in the middle of the night and at a moment’s notice! When I’m not at home being cozy with Marissa and Morris, I am usually outside running, biking, or walking through the woods. And anytime I’m in the car, I still love tuning into Kiss FM, which always has and always will be superior to Bob FM ; )
