As most of you know 2019 and 2020 have been very interesting in terms of planning our wedding. First we were going to do the WHOLE shebang. Pretty ceremony, big reception, wonderful catering, possible bagpipes. That all changed in February 2020. We cancelled our original plans to save money and to be able to move forward with more important things for our future, like our home. We debated a smaller wedding or elopement around that time but had enough people want to share the day with us that we decided to hop back on the wedding planning train but this time it was going to be much more relaxed. A beautiful wedding at Reese's grandparents property in Belen, NM. Things were moving along fine tents reserved, music picked, invites out. As our RSVP date approached more and more cases began to pop up nationwide. Which was to be expected since it was originally predicted by scientists (fun fact!) Several people expressed their concern and we both hit that wall. We decided to cancel.
At this point neither one of us have any plans to reschedule a large scale wedding event. We have tossed the idea around of a possible party to celebrate our 1 year anniversary with our loved ones but I am not sure this will ultimately happen in fear that next year things might not be too much different.
Absolutely! The registries will still be listed on our website for those who wish to send a gift. They however are still not expected but would, of course, be much appreciated.
