Juan in a Million
Bill's favorite restaurant in Austin. A delicious, hole-in-the-wall Mexican joint on the eastside that is home to the famous Don Juan, which could feed a family of four (or one Bill). If you are lucky, you might get a famous handshake from Juan himself!
Tyson's Tacos
You can't get more Austin than Tyson's! A funky, lil' taco shop that is open 24/7 and serves the best breakfast tacos in the city. If you are from out of town, this is a must. We are looking at you, Chicago!

Serving up delicious coffee, fun local beers, and a native Texas classic- Kolaches! Bill's favorite is the jalapeno, sausage, and cheese. Audrey's is the veggie sausage and gouda.

Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail
A 10-mile hike and bike trail that weaves through the heart of Austin. If you are staying at the Embassy or Hyatt, you can access the trail right outside your hotel!
Butler Pitch & Putt
Bill's favorite pastime in Austin! A 9 hole, 3 par golf course that welcomes all skill levels. Arrive early and expect a bit of wait. They have plenty of beer and delicious southern biscuits to keep you busy.
Barton Springs Municipal Pool
The crown jewel of Austin! This is one of Audrey and Bill's very favorite spots. A pool that is fed from an underground spring and is 68 degrees year-round. Come to swim or lounge on the grassy hill and people watch.
Spyglass Trailhead at Barton Creek Greenbelt
A favorite of Austinites. This is an outdoorsy nature walk with beautiful greenery, outdoor rock climbing, and (sometimes) a flowing creek. Reward yourself with tacos from Tacodeli at the trailhead after your hike.
South Congress Shopping
Filled with lots of quirky shops and restaurants. A great place to explore for an afternoon!

If you go shopping on South Congress, be sure to take a break at this funky hotel with a great patio and delicious cocktails.
Paddle boarding and Kayaking
Rent from Texas Rowing Center and enjoy views of downtown to the East or rolling hill to the West.
