Our relationship began as a great friendship! We had known of each other for a long time, due to our dad's long-term friendship of 30+ years. A few years ago, they took that friendship to a new dynamic when they partnered in business together. As that happened, our families began to spend more time together. We were both in college during the beginning of their partnership, so we didn't actually start spending time around each other until last year. Although we didn't spend much time around each other, we are both super family oriented- so we still had a mutual brotherly/sisterly type of relationship because of the closeness of our families. (We both laugh at this now, it's funny how things work out). When Slater moved back from California, we gradually began to run into each other more, and were learning more about each other at that time. One thing that was always really important to the both of us, was our faith, which ultimately is what brought us together the late part of 2019. God really started to reveal his plan for us, and for first time we really began to see potential of something more than a friendship. Although many things about us are different- the most important things to us lined up, our core values. Faith is most important to us, followed by family, our desire for personal growth, and love for the business world. Our lifestyles have such a natural flow together, and well it just works- so well actually! It didn't take us long to realize we desired to start a life together. After 6 months of dating, we took a leap of faith and got engaged. This season has been such a blessing. We have such a peace with equal part of excitement for the future and what's to come.
