Will there be alcohol?

Answer

This is a no alcohol wedding. We wish to treat this as a friendly get-together and enjoy the day without alcohol. There will be other beverages served as well as a "social hour" in place of a cocktail hour with featured charcuterie boards at each table.

Is smoking allowed?

Answer

At Evergreen Bible Baptist Church, smoking is prohibited. No smoking is allowed of any kind inside or outside, so we kindly ask you respect the policy of the church. (This also includes the family center next door to the church.)

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We ask to keep it somewhat modest as the ceremony and reception will be held at a church. We wish all guests to be in something comfortable that fits them so they can enjoy the day of celebration.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are welcome to attend the wedding. There is a playground and gym on site for the reception.

How does the RSVP work? Who is invited?

Answer

You may only RSVP those we list on your invitation. We have a limited number of seats and food available for guests. Guests invited will be able to attend both the ceremony and the reception. Please respond as either attending or not attending via mail or online here on our website! Please try to respond as soon as possible so we know who to expect! Reach out to us if you have any questions regarding attendance of our wedding.

Are cell phones permitted during the ceremony? Can I take pictures?

Answer

We ask all guests, including our family, that cell phones be put away and silenced. We have hired a photographer to take photos during the ceremony, and we don't want cell phones in the shot! Also, we don't want a phone ringing during a very important moment in two people's lives (plus it can be a large distraction to all)! Again, out of respect for all guests, the photographer, and the bride & groom, that cell phones are put away and silenced for the ceremony. We thank you in advance! But please take photos during the reception and tag us in the photos! Also use our wedding hashtag #BecomingtheBeardens2023 so we can always find them on social media!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is a paved parking lot and parking around the church and family center.

What if I have trouble finding the venue?

Answer

Evergreen Bible Baptist Church is on the corner of Saunders Road and Anderson Road in Kalkaska Michigan. The church is a beautiful white building with a paved parking lot on one side of the church. Next to the church is a large green building, the family center, where the reception will be held. If you see farmland, you are in the right area! Look out for the sign that says "Evergreen Bible Baptist Church" that sits right next to the church. Church address: 1972 Saunders Rd SE, Kalkaska, Michigan 49646
