People always say love finds you when you least expect it...and boy were they right! I think we can both agree that we were more than happy and content with where we were in life. We were surrounded by those that loved us, we were advancing at work, and both able to travel to different states doing things we loved. But little did we know we were just missing each other. Although Naz and Audrey attended the same college, they never had any personal interactions. It wasn't until years later (Jan. 2023) that they would officially meet through mutual friends. Audrey had just finished her traveling contract on Kauai and was going to pop over to Maui for the weekend to catch up with her friends that had been there on vacation. They spent the morning exploring Wailea and then headed to Big Beach where they would then meet up with a couple local friends and Naz of course. After a few hours at the beach everyone went to grab food and drinks at Maui Brewing Co. followed by shaved ice and watching the sunset. The next day Naz volunteered to drive them all out to Hana, stopping at all the best hiking and swimming holes along the way. As the day progressed so did that little internal feeling that this might be someone worth getting to know. Audrey was supposed to catch a flight back to Kauai early the next day which meant missing out on the groups last BBQ. However, with very little convincing needed she decided to stay an extra night on Maui and that's when it all changed. The conversations were flowing, the flirting was obvious, and the sparks were igniting. About two weeks later Naz flew over to Kauai to spend the weekend with Audrey. Not even the pouring rain, muddy hikes down to secret beaches, or concert cancellations could kill the vibe. And truly, the rest is history. After 2 months of talking they made their relationship official and after a year of long distance Audrey made the big move out to Maui. Naz proposed on Sept. 26, 2025 in Sorrento Italy on a beautiful cliffside that they had all to themselves. Our hearts are full and our future is bright. We're so grateful for the journey and the friends that set us up. We can't wait to celebrate with everyone.
