We first connected somewhere between 2012 and 2013 at Sunnyslope High School, but only as acquaintances. We reconnected in 2018 when we both showed up to the first day of PT school at NAU. After spending many classes together and hours in the library studying, our relationship began to grow as friends and eventually significant others. It sparked when the two of us were randomly selected, out of our 50 person cohort, to attend a physical therapy conference in Rhode Island. A few months later we started dating and have been together ever since!

We were planning on going home from San Antonio to Phoenix, AZ for a small vacation. Last minute Max gets a call from his boss saying he must attend a mandatory military training and cannot go home. I (Audrey) ended up taking the vacation without him, thinking the entire time he was off in some remote location. Later that weekend Max shows up at the Mann Residence with an entire proposal planned, and with all of our close friends and family in attendance. It was the biggest surprise filled with lots of emotion and love
