Perched on a cliff overlooking the turquoise Caribbean Sea, the Tulum Ruins are a must-see. This ancient Mayan site offers stunning views and a fascinating glimpse into Mexico’s rich history. We had a great time visiting these! Pro tip: Go early before the crowds arrive.
Cenotes are natural freshwater swimming holes formed by collapsed limestone caves. There are two kinds: open-air + underground. The Mayans considered them sacred, and it's easy to see why. There are hundreds around Tulum, a few popular ones include Gran Cenote, Cenote Calavera, and Cenote Dos Ojos. If you extend your trip this would be a very fun activity to plan!
